Are parts
available for old radios?
Can my radio be repaired or
restored?
How much will it cost?
How long will it take?
Can I get an estimate?
How about shipping and handling
costs and insurance?

I have been restoring radios for 15 years. My specialty are the tube
radios of the 1930's through the 1950's. I do not repair early battery radios or
transistor sets...
I have over 3000 tubes in stock and can usually get what I do not have...the same with
basic electrical parts like wiring, resistors, capacitors, etc. Dial glass, power
transformers, missing buttons, etc. can be more difficult to locate, but often substitutes
can be found.
I also do basic wood cabinet restoration....using only hand-rubbed Formsby
products...no polyurethane. Most plastics can be polished.
I repair and restore radios as a hobby only. It is not a full-time business.
I offer Free estimates....prefer to work with local
customers who can deliver and pick up their radio
without going through the hassle of packing and shipping.

| NOTE: Before you contact me,
check your radio for manufacturer name and model number...often found on back, bottom, or
inside of chassis on a paper label. Also, are all tubes present? Are all
buttons present? Is the dial glass whole? Does the radio have any signs of having
burned or shorted out...soot inside chassis, smell, etc. This information can
be very helpful in determining whether or not the radio is worth restoring. |
